Undeterred, he found refuge in a tent with the groundsmen at the Azad Maidan, where he eked out a living by selling panipuri. Breakthrough and Debut
Jwala Singh, a local coach, recognized Yashasvi’s cricketing potential and extended support by providing him with a place to stay, becoming his legal guardian. Yashasvi rose to prominence in 2015 when he achieved the remarkable feat of scoring 319 not out and taking 13/99 in a Giles Shield match, setting an all-round record in Indian schools cricket.
His international debut came in the first Test against the West Indies in July 2023, where he notched a century in his maiden Test innings. Subsequently, he made his T20 debut on August 8, 2023, against the West Indies at Providence Stadium.

Yashasvi continued to shine on the cricketing stage after his debut. In the second Test against England, he displayed his prowess by scoring a magnificent double century.
